October 9th

Thank you to all that came to the second meeting of the year!

  • UPCOMING EVENTS: Check the "Upcoming Events" Tab for information about making cards for food banks and our division's upcoming DCM!

  • NICARAGUA: Our very own Lauren S. talked about her amazing trip to Nicaragua and the people that she met there that need our help. We brainstormed about ideas to raise money for a girl she met there to go to college. Possible renting out a froyo place. More details to come!

  • We did our raffle drawing for a free sweatshirt! Congrats to our winner and 16 participants! If you have not entered your email, name, and grade, please do so below! :)

  • Trick or Treat for UNICEF boxes are coming next meeting.

  • Don't forget to pay your dues. Please bring $12.50 to our next meeting. The deadline to submit is November 1st.

December 4th

 

Sweatshirt Designs:  Remember to submit your designs to our email meadowdalehighkeyclub@gmail.com before Winter Break!

**1st Semester is almost ending so remember to volunteer for at least 3 hours in order to still be a member

Events:  Check out our events tabs for more details! MANY VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES THIS MONTH SO PLEASE TAKE ADVANTAGE! Contact us if you want to sign-up for a shift.

How to record volunteer hours: 

1. Use the volunteer form/packet that has the TIMESHEET so it can be dedicated to Meadowdale High School Key Club.

2. Record the hours you volunteered for on the Timesheet.

3. For each volunteer event, write the DATE and NAME OF THE EVENT on the back/blank side of your Timesheet. You must have a signature from one of the Key Club officers for each event to verify your hours.

Next Meeting: We will be making holiday cards for the Lynnwood Food Bank! Be sure to come! :)

 

 

 

JANUARY 15th

-We have a couple more volunteer events before Semester 1 ends. Be sure to check out the "UPCOMING EVENTS" tab!

 

-Remember to get your minimum of 3 hours in by the end of the semester! We will be sending each of you emails to update you on your hours by Saturday, January 17th.

 

-We passed out the club memberships certificates, handbooks, and pins today. Yay! If you weren't able to get yours because you missed the meeting, please ask Ms. B in the library. You are an official member of Key Club if you have paid your dues.

We will have a short meeting next Thursday, January 22nd for 2015-2016 OFFICER ELECTIONS and the club sweatshirt design voting.

If you would like to run for a position, please prepare a 2-5 minute speech on why you would like to run for that position, experiences, why/how you would make a good officer, etc.

Positions include: President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, and Club Editor.

Sweatshirt Info: Please submit designs by January 21st using the CustomInk.com website. Generally speaking, if 20 people decide to order a sweatshirt, the cost would be $25. If 30 people order sweatshirts, it would be $20 each. Keep that in mind!

 

Possible events for February includes Rose Sales during lunch!

February 5th

-Rose Sales will be taking place next week from Monday-Thursday during both lunches. We are still looking for volunteers during the second lunches. If you want to sign up, please direct yourself to the "Upcoming Events" page.

-Ms. Borchert (our school librarian) is looking for library teacher assistants (TA's) during school hours. If you have any class periods open and would like to help, please talk to her in the library. 

March 12th

  • Blood drive is rescheduled for Tuesday, April 28th. Thank you everyone for your help in signing people up two weeks ago. We will need volunteers to sign up people during lunch in the future, so we will have a sign up sheet available soon!

  • Youth United volunteer opportunity on our "Upcoming Events" Page.

  • We are working on a big event to raise money for a desrving girl in Nicaragua. We are currently in contact with Revelations and will announce more soon.

September 24th aka FIRST MEETING OF THE YEAR!!!!

-Membership Fee: $12.50 (cash or check accepted) Please write checks to Edmonds School District

Due: November 1st

 

October 22nd

-Make sure to pay you dues ($12.50) by November 1st to Ms. Landry in the ASB office

-We received our Trick or Treat for UNICEF boxes today. Please pick up your box from Ms. B in the library. After the 31st, make sure to drop off your collected change to Ms. B or bring it to the next club meeting. You can get hours from this.

-You can also get hours by participating in We Scare Hunger. Sign-up sheets are located on the right side of the ASB office and microwave

-October DCM is Sunday, October 24th. See "Upcoming Events" tab for more details.
